The Quest

April 13, 2009

It’s the one that (almost) every  teenage girl has to go through. The one that tops sweet sixteen. The one that outlasts semi. The one that matters more than her currently overdue assignment. The one that is more stressful than her AP exams in 2 weeks. Actually maybe not that one but it come pretty close.  It is the one and only quest for the perfect formal dress. Generally the criteria is , must be a WOW dress, must fit/look good, must not be from BCBG because everyone will have a dress from there, must be original, must not cause a wardrobe malfunction and must be suitable for all ages. Most of the criteria is easily satisfied (I’m sure it’s pretty difficult to find an x-rated prom dress… then again…). It’s just getting that good WOW part that will be slightly difficult. And the unique-ness part. That will be hard too.

Not gonna lie, I have probably seen more dresses than I need to for the rest of my life. It’s really unfortunate because a majority of the dresses are all so boring and generic. That said, I still have no idea what I’m going to wear after viewing about a hundred dresses. Wait no… that may or may not be true, I’m not too sure. I think I will stick to black because I happen to be more attracted to the black dresses but we shall see, black is SO overrated sometimes. Plus, it’s not as much fun as… a pretty red or purple.  Well, I guess that’s a bit of progress. I still have to pick a pretty design (long or short? halter or straps? sparkly stuff or not? vintage or not?) and consider my hair (up or down? Long or short? Straight or wavy?) and find time to get new glasses (or contacts?) and fix my skin (to untan or tan?) and get into shape (better butt or abs? or both? or everything in general?). I love being indecisive. Not. Oh god, I think I’m getting wrinkles from the stress.

I think I will stop this nonsense for the time being (ie until AP bio and AP fre are over). Now, I will will myself into closing that tab with the dresses.  If I don’t find a dress by formal, I’m blaming it all on bio and french.

Go in a kimono because I’d go in a kimono if I was going >w> Also, you don’t have to be fit to wear a kimono cause they make you flat.

You don’t have the right to question jamegackie. Kimi wa mada mada jimi dane~(you are so plain, I think) so you can’t understand the logic.
